SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM AND GENERAL INTERVENTION

Hope for communities and children initiative has taken the bold step to sponsor several  of the Almajiri boys and hard to reach girls, to be enrolled into government schools.
THE STRATEGY

Hope for communities and children initiative  is conducting a free HIV counselling and testing  in Kajuru LGA of Kajuru town and Tudunwada district of Zaria, Kaduna State Nigeria.
The outreach provides access to poor and vulnerable populations and empowers them to make informed choices about their health status.
Over the years we have supported and partnered on Gender Base Violence (GBV) and School Related GBV with UNICEF in Niger, Zamfara, Kano, Katsina, Sokoto, Kebbi, Bauchi and Ebonyi States.
We have just recently concluded work on the UNESCO_ O3 (our Rights, Our Lives, Our Future) Programme Kaduna, Lagos, Abia, Benue, Taraba, Ebonyi, Nasarawa States and The FCT where  we developed prevention, mitigation and response mechanisms. We created and trained School Community Rapid Response Teams across 18 LGAs in the 9 States and reached out to 54 schools on SRGBV.
H4CC was also instrumental to the development of the Kaduna State Child Protection and Welfare Law and has continued to support sensitizations and the access to justice across communities in Kaduna State as part of the UNFPA- Led GBV Actors in Kaduna State.
We are currently coordinating Kaduna CS sensitization to public and privates’ schools in the State and also part of the UNFPA team on SGBV Project in Kaduna North.
We have formed SRGBV Response Teams in Giwa and Sabon Gari LGAs and we are currently working with Kaduna North, Kajuru, Makarfi, Kauru, Kudan, Giwa and Igabi LGAs
